THE FUTURE IS HERE.
Pulleys have been a staple in 4wd recoveries for two key reasons: Mechanical Advantage and line angling.
Mechanical advantage achieves twice the pulling force whilst using twice the rope length - perfect for heavy duty recoveries where you need that extra pulling force or perhaps want to halve the load on your winch and effectively your battery system.
Rope redirection/angling allows you to form a triangle with your winch, anchored pulley and desired load. You can create an angle between 5 to 180º. Whether you need to weave a rope between trees, effectively push an obstacle off the side of a track by pulling it from an angle or pull an adjacent, same direction 4WD up the same hill!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- Loop a soft shackle through the winch ring and a fixed anchor point such as a tree protector.
- Fed your winch rope through the ring and back to your vehicle, hooking onto a dedicated recovery point.
Needed accessories - not included.
-Soft shackle - available here-
-An anchor to hold the soft shackle in place such as a tree protector.
